Backyard Campout

You won't have to haul out the suitcase, load up the car, worry about traffic, or answer the question "Are we there yet?" Join NCM as we bring an outdoor adventure to the Launch Zone. In collaboration with our friends from REI Outreach, feel like you're in the great outdoors by discovering the uses of various camping equipment, maneuvering through tents, and learning the fun aspects of camping in nature.

The Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation brings Watkins Nature Center's The Wild Things presentation to the Launch Zone from 11 a.m. -- 2 p.m. Speak with a naturalist and get an up-close look at various animals!

Also enjoy hands-on exploration of deer and bear tracks from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
