Community Heroes

Which jobs in your community make people everyday heroes? Join NCM as we explore the role of community heroes and create community hero puppets. Today only, don't miss out on special community hero visits at 11 a.m. and at 3 p.m.!

At 11 a.m. meet Ranger Brooke Westby from the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Learn about the cool things park rangers do to make the parks safe, fun, and educational places to enjoy with the whole family. See and touch animal pelts and skulls.

At 3 p.m. meet a member of the US Secret Service, a Secret Service Officer who has worked at the White House! Check out all the important gear he wears to protect himself.

At 4 p.m. meet MK Fitzsimmons of the Prince George's County Parks and Recreation's Street Team. Learn about Street Team, a program dedicated to offering youth a safe alternative to the streets and providing life opportunities. Come learn about the changes you can make as a Street Team Leader!
