The National Children’s Museum is celebrating the joys of leading a healthy lifestyle by making “Healthy Food On My Mind” crowns at this year’s Junior League of Washington’s Kids In The Kitchen event. The day will include cooking demonstrations, physical fitness exercises, games, and seminars.

The event is designed to help communities address the urgent issues surrounding childhood obesity and poor nutrition.  Specifically, this event is a health fair focused on promoting healthy lifestyles for Washington, DC area children of all ages and their families.  The goal of Kids in the Kitchen is to raise awareness of childhood obesity, educate the community about ways to reduce and prevent childhood obesity and associated health concerns, and empower children to make a commitment to lifelong healthy choices.
