Kids Euro Festival: Romania and Italy

 The NCM Launch Zone is pleased to host 2011 Kids Euro Festival performances and workshops presented by the 27 European Union Member States and independent cultural partners. Join us each Saturday for a variety of programs showcasing different European Union countries.

11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Join Romanian Puck Puppet Theatre actors in a workshop where children are invited to participate in recreating the story of Pinocchio by imagining new sets, adventures, and even new characters! Registration is required for this artist lead workshop. Registration opens in September 2011. Please visit, www.kidseurofestival.org. This workshop is most appropriate for children ages 5-10.

Noon - 1:00 p.m. Story time with Prince George's County Memorial Library System

1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Special guest, Eleanor Palm, will take you to Italy to re-create the famous artist Leonardo da Vinci’s artwork. Tap into your own genius by crafting new inventions using wood, paper, and various mixed media! Registration is required for this artist lead workshop. Registration opens in September 2011. Please visit, www.kidseurofestival.org. This workshop is most appropriate for children ages 4-10.

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Explore Italian artist, Leonardo da Vinci’s unique inventions in this drop-in style art program. Registration is not required.
